Filter 1. This is a sediment removal filter which will filter out particulate down to as low as 0.1 micron. This filter acts as a barrier to rust or fine particles in the water and also forms a barrier against bacteria. It also acts as a very effective barrier against micro plastics which are an increasing concern in our water supplies. The primary concern for micro plastics is the presence of fibres which are typically larger than 5 micron in size. You can see the removal rates for the various groups of contaminants in the chart.
Filter 2 . This is a special carbon block technology, developed and manufactured in the US, combining different types of carbon along with zeolites and polymers. The result is a filter that gives very high level removal rates of heavy metals such as lead, chlorine, fluoride, chloramines, herbicides, pesticides in addition to hormonal and pharmaceutical residues.
Filter 3. The filtered water exiting filter no 2 is processed through filter no 3 to improve water structure. This is achieved using different types of ceramic ball filter media. These bio ceramics are compositions of natural minerals and crystals which change the properties of water as it passes through them. They are a major advance in natural treatment of drinking water. These bio ceramic filter balls release small amounts of beneficial minerals into the water. Without alkaline minerals in the water it is not possible to have good water structure. Research is now demonstrating that water structure is very important for our cellular health. Most of the water consumed from our public supplies, or existing water filters does not have good structure.
Filter 4.The final filter also uses bio ceramic technology to increase the pH to give alkaline water. However the bio ceramics also result in the release of small amounts of molecular hydrogen into the water giving the water antioxidant properties. There has been extensive research over the last decade into the health benefits of molecular hydrogen with now over 1,000 scientific papers published. Much of that is based on drinking water with molecular hydrogen in it.
